Code Editing Window for OLAP DML Programs

The code editing window enables you to create, compile, and run programs written in the OLAP DML. The program acts on data in a cube.

Enter only the body of the program in this window. Do not enter DEFINE PROGRAM or END statements. Right-click the window to see a menu of editing tools.

A toolbar at the top of the window provides these functions:

Icon Description

Displays options for pattern matching in a search.

Searches for a string that matches your entry in this text box.

Pins (or freezes) an object in the viewer so that you can open another object in a separate viewer. The pinned object appears as a separate tab, so that you can easily refer to it again. OLAP objects are pinned by default.

Opens the Run PL/SQL dialog box. The DBMS_AW.EXECUTE procedure executes OLAP programs.

Compiles the code and reports the results in the OLAP DML Compiler page at the bottom of the window.

Switches between read/write and read-only editing modes.
